Former Roc-A-Fella Records big wig Damon Dash has been issued an order from a Manhattan judge requesting the seizure of his vehicle.
According to New York’s Daily News, the hip-hop mogul is being sought after for his Chevrolet Tahoe due to missed payments. Issued this week, the claim alleges Dash has not been making the $714.99 monthly payments on the leased truck.
Hip-Hop superstar Kanye West was arrested earlier today (November 14) and shortly after released for allegedly assaulting another photographer.
According to TMZ, the mega rapper/producer was taken in by authorities at a Gateshead hotel in England after reportedly becoming violent with a person taking images of him leaving the Tup Tup nightclub.

Former record label mogul Suge Knight has sued Kanye West for over $135,000 stemming from a gun shot wound and robbery attained at the producer’s pre-MTV Video Music Awards party in August 2005. Dr. Dre is suing the author of the book “Rollin’ With Dre: The Unauthorized Account: An Insider’s Tale of the Rise, Fall, and Rebirth of West Coast Hip Hop” over an alleged loan the rapper gave him, according to TMZ
Yesterday, Dre filed a lawsuit in the L.A. County Superior Court claiming he loaned writer Bruce Williams $101,377.85, although it is unclear what the loan was for. Dre alleges he’s yet to receive the money back and is seeking immediate repayment. (more…)
BET has tapped multi-platinum producer Swizz Beats to provide the sounds for the 2008 BET Hip-Hop Awards, set to air tonight (October 23) at 8 pm. Swizz has created a soundtrack for the two hour broadcast, bolstering the performances and award presentations with some of the hottest music out.
